  • Deconstructing the Mental Health System

    • Deconstructing the Mental Health System, Inc. is a  501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization status and donations are tax deductible.

    • Makinie Fortino founded Deconstructing the Mental Health System, Inc as a means to bring anti-racist therapists together to address the mental health system’s racial and financial inequities, through education and other initiatives, such as a free provider listing for BIPOC Therapists. 

  • Seattle Black Book

    • Seattle Green Book is Seattle’s Black business directory. Free and open to Black-owned and co-owned businesses and people holding space for the Black community around the Puget Sound.

  • NQTTCN

    • The National Queer and Trans Therapists of Color Network (NQTTCN) is a healing justice organization committed to transforming mental health for queer and trans people of color (QTPoC). We work at the intersection of movements for social justice and the field of mental health to integrate healing justice into both of these spaces. Our overall goal is to increase access to healing justice resources for QTPoC.

  • BEAM

    • BEAM is a national training, movement building, and grant making institution that is dedicated to the healing, wellness, and liberation of Black and marginalized communities.

  • Asian Mental Health Collective

    • AMHC aspires to make mental health easily available, approachable, and accessible to Asian communities worldwide.

  • Asians For Mental Health

    • The directory is for Asian/Pacific Islander therapists practicing in the U.S. who identify as East, South, and Southeast Asian, Pacific Islander, Native Hawaiian, biracial and mixed race Asian, and transracial Asian adoptees. We encourage therapists who are both licensed and pre-licensed under supervision to fill out the form and join the directory.

  • Out Care Health

    • OutCare, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the nation’s first comprehensive resource for LGBTQ+ healthcare offering provider and healthcare resource directories, mentorship, medical education reform, and cultural competency training. OutCare’s most notable endeavor, the OutList, is an online, nationwide directory of healthcare providers who identify as culturally competent in the care of the LGBTQ+ community.

    • Psychology Today is a media organization with a focus on psychology and human behavior. The Psychology Today website features therapy and health professionals directories and hundreds of blogs written by a wide variety of psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, medical doctors, anthropologists, sociologists, and science journalists. Psychology Today also publishes a bimonthly magazine, which first appeared in 1967.

    • Our nonprofit serves clients who lack health insurance or whose health insurance doesn’t provide adequate mental health benefits. These clients also cannot afford current market rates for therapy (between $80-200 a session).
