There are many levels of care for mental health depending on the severity, intensity, and concerns/issues.
Outpatient Treatment
Outpatient treatment usually scheduled for one to two times a week to address mental health conditions that do not require more intensive care.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
An intensive outpatient program of at least 3 hours or more 3 to 5 days per week for mental health and/or substance use disorders.
This is a good option for those who need intensive treatment but want to ensure they can continue with their job, family, or other responsibilities.
The treatment team usually includes physician or psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner, nurses, and counselors.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
